3 Simple Tools for Success

There are three tools you can use to make Cyrano exactly what you want!

•   Picture Pages

Picture Pages allow you to create pages of pictures you can use to communicate with other people.  Choose from our library of pictures, choose from thousands of SymbolStix (tm) symbols, or create your own pictures using our built-in camera!  You can also download ANY picture to our machine - as long as it is a bitmap (bmp), Jpeg, or Gif file, it will work on our machine.  And you don't have to take the time to resize your pictures either.  Cyrano will automatically resize your pictures for you, leaving your original in a separate directory.

Once you have your pages together, you can attach pictures, labels and text messages to each block.  Then, add your voice!  Either record the voice of someone you like, or use one of our synthesized voices.  Calling them synthesized is really not fair.  These are incredibly rich, real  sounding voices with emotion, character and feeling!  All of our voices can laugh and cry, snort, hack and cough - whatever you want to say, we'll give it a voice!  You don't have to worry about whether we already have your word recorded into memory.  Our speech engine converts text to speech - any text!

•    Click Pix™

Some of our clients had trouble dealing with blocks of pictures.  For them, we developed Click Pix™, where you can use a single picture to fill the entire screen, and then create your own "hot spots" anywhere on the screen!  Once you've created your "virtual button", you can use it just like a picture block.  Speak whatever you want, link to other pages, even link to other programs!

The best part about Click Pix™ is that you define your own areas by simply drawing a box when programming the page.  The boxes can be any size you want and can lead you to other screens, or even other programs (if that ability is enabled).

The picture from the right is out demo program, and is entitled "Where does it hurt?".  If you touch the head, Cyrano will say "I have a headache", if you touch the knee, Cyrano will say, "I have a pain in my knee."  Careful, touch just under the armpit and you'll find they're ticklish too!

•    Cyrano Shorthand™

Many of our clients don't have any problem handling text.  They simply need a great way to enter their text and have the machine speak their message.  And why not look a little stylish while you're doing it?  Simply enter your text, press the speak button, and Cyrano does the rest! 

You can create libraries of your own phrases to use whenever you want.  Let's say you like to order the same 2 or 3 things at your favorite restaurant.  Simply type them in once, add them to your library, and recall them with a simple click of your stylus.

To make typing easier, we have 5 different methods to enter your text.  From writing anywhere on the screen, to a full screen keyboard, to even our wonderful folding, wireless, portable keyboard, we have the feature you need to make the system work for you.

Accessories

We've also taken a lot of time to develop the accessories you will need to make yourself heard, in any situation.  These aren't cheap speaker systems, but rather speakers made to our specifications, and guaranteed to work the way you need them.
