Ray came up with the original idea for Cyrano, based on solutions he needed for his son, Jon.  Ray has a varied background, including 10 years in the field of disabilities as a residential provider, behavior management specialist, and case manager.  Ray has worked 21 years manufacturing as well, with executive level positions in management, software development, sales, and product development.

 

Recently, Ray took the opportunity to return to the field, taking up the position of Program Services Manager for the Fairfield County Board of Developmental Disabilities.  His responsibilities include the supervision of a program serving nearly 180 people, including his son, Jon.

 

Ray and his wife Mary make their home in Lancaster, Ohio.

Partner/Lead Developer

  

Sue has a long and varied career in Information Technology.  A graduate of The Ohio State University in electrical engineering, Sue has built systems for industry, government, and business.

 

Sue was in on the initial development of Cyrano, and has been instrumental in creating the features that Cyrano has today.

 

Sue is an avid animal lover, and she and her husband Dave keep 4 horses and 3 dogs on their small farm in rural southern Ohio.

Beyond A Communication Device

 

Cyrano was recently featured by Linda Mechling, Ph.D. in an article entitled "Beyond a Dr. Mechling uses her Cyrano as a cognitive aid for her students, helping them to cook using task analyzed recipes, navigate around campus using her "GPS" application, and perform other tasks too using a simple interface that features multiple levels of prompts!  Click Here to read Dr. Mechling's article.
